Welcome to the Harmony Kings website!
For over 50 years the Federal Way Harmony Kings have been performing tight four-part harmony throughout the South Puget Sound (WA) area. From civic events to birthdays, from sporting events to singing valentines, you can always count on the Harmony Kings to provide a quality and fun musical experience.
To attend a performance, check out our Event Calendar page. And if you'd like to book the chorus for a performance, click on Request a Performance.
The Harmony Kings perform at many events throughout the year, as well as sing in several barbershop competitions. We are a non-profit organization that contributes to the community through our international society, the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS), and our local organization, the Evergreen District.

Don Hoem is our 2014 Barbershopper of the Year
Congratulations are due to Don Hoem for being named the 2014 Harmony Kings Barbershopper Of The Year!
Don is being recognized for the hard work and dedication he has shown to our chapter behind the scenes, and for his continuous board activities as both Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer.
A member since 2007, Don is a valuable member of the Federal Way Chapter. When something needs to be done, Don is always ready and willing to jump up and help; he is one of our "un-sung" heroes. We truly appreciate all the things Don does to make Chapter life more enjoyable.
The Harmony Kings have been awarding a Barbershopper Of The Year Award for over 50 years! What a wonderful way to say thank you to our hard-working members.
Jim Burbidge is our April Barbershopper of the Month
Federal Way Harmony Kings Chapter is pleased to recognize Jim Burbidge as our April Barbershopper of the Month.
Need a baritone? Then you need Jim Burbidge! For 39 years, Jim has been singing barbershop, currently singing with both Harmony Kings and two quartets: The Town Squires and Generation Gap. Jim is also the spark-plug of the Harmony Kings, as he emcees our community performances with energy and enthusiasm. Jim always is willing to help new members get started in barbershop, especially with our on-going Youth in Harmony outreach programs.
Jim also earns this honor for his leadership, organizational skills, and tireless efforts for another successful Evergreen District endeavor: the Division II Convention and Contest. This year, Jim coordinated with the Seattle Seachordsmen's leadership to put on a spectacular event for barbershoppers and non-barbershoppers alike. The convention included a high school a cappella contest that introduced students to our hobby and craft. This year marks Jim’s third year as the Harmony Kings chairmen of the annual convention and the Evergreen District presented Jim a 2015 Tall Timbre Award for his effort.
Jim always gives credit where credit is due, and always acknowledges the members that helped with this convention.
Jim Burbidge is a true Gentleman of Harmony and it is with pride that Harmony Kings present our April BOTM award to him.
